The Ozark and Ouachita Mountain regions are extremely popular recreational areas. Arkansas is near the geographic and population centres of the US. The state’s borders adjoin Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Oklahoma, with the Mississippi River forming the state’s eastern border.
